Beautiful piece, regrettably a little (?) out of my price range.

I'd love to see more watches of this calibre sold in Australia, for all sorts of reasons, the main one being that I could see them from time to time in person.

But is there really a market for these watches in Australia? Surely anyone with $95,000 (or more) to drop on something that tells the time is also someone who is on an aeroplane out of the country every now & then as well?

I've only bought one new watch (out of more than a dozen) in Australia in the last 10 years - I travel overseas a few times a year and I've always found watches are sold at much more aggressive pricing in Hong Kong, Singapore and the USA.

OK, if I was spending a couple of thousand dollars, I might take the view that between here & HK there wasn't much difference, and I know (hope) the retailer in Collins St or Castlereagh St will be there if I have a problem, there won't be any issues with warranty if I buy locally.

But a $100,000 watch?

I wish them luck & I will certainly visit the store for some "live watch porn".
