Glashütte Says “Bonjour, Paris!”

For all of us watch enthusiasts out there Glashütte will always be a favorite brand, representing all that is pure about the fine art of German elegance and craftmanship. Yet, despite their popularity they have never really had a strong retail presence in Europe, other than their flagship store in their homeland, Germany.
Well, that’s all changed now.
Glashütte Comes To Town
A few weeks ago, Glashütte decided to further increase its exposure in western Europe by opening its second flagship store, located a few hundred meters from the Place Vendôme (and at the corner of the street where Richemont has its local headquarters, no coincidence we’re sure for the Swatch Group owned Glashütte!).

The new boutique boasts no less than 24 different models, from the classically outstanding Senator to very limited editions of the PanoInverse XL, specially engraved with “Saint Honoré”, in reference to the name of the street where the store is located. To all you collectors reading this, don’t delay, this is a limited edition you definitely want to add to your portfolio, trust us!
Before Glashütte, the space was dedicated to Blancpain, and it took quite a few weeks for the German teams to completely redesign the store, placing emphasis on the brand’s reputation for subtle sophistication through the use of beautiful vintage white classy colors. The boutique also features fully digitized wall made up of two wide flat interactive screens where clients can get more information about the model of their choice, its specifications, or simply learn about the history of the Manufacture.

Now of course everyone will have their own personal favorites from this amazing watch-maker, however, we have still taken the liberty of choosing 4 models out of this extraordinary collection which we think you should take a closer look at.

From left to right we start first with the Panomatic Counter XL, which incorporates a manual unit counter in red at 9h: with a single push, you can add units of whatever you want, like laps, days, etc. Interesting function, and as far as we are aware it has never been seen before in a timepiece of this calibre. Then, two PanoInverse, one a limited edition presented in white gold, the other stainless steel, designed especially for day-to-day wearing, being far more resistant to scratches. And finally on the right, the PanoMatic Lunar XL, a yellow gold model for which we are sure the phrase timeless elegance was created.

The Final Word
Handmade, these pure classics or modern timepieces represent the quintessence of what the historical Glashütte Manufacture can offer to its ever-demanding clients. This new boutique in Paris provides another, highly luxurious entry point for Glashütte into the European market and we have no doubt it will become an instant hit with collectors and enthusiasts alike.
So, the next time you find yourself close to 25 rue du Faubourg Saint Honoré, 75008 Paris, take a quick detour and check out this stunning new boutique, we’re sure you’ll be as charmed as we were!
