Locman Stealth: Total Stealth, Total Color

Locman Total Black

Those smooth Italian fashionistas over at Locman Italy are at it again. Following on from the tremendous success of the Stealth – Titanium Carbon Steel watches the flagship collection is now being introduced with a Total Color case. And as we have come to expect from Locman, they are certainly colorful!

The Total Color Treatment
Pictured above is the Total Black version which I must say is my personal favourite. Its also, in my opinion, the only version that fits the ‘stealth’ moniker, but that’s another story.

Locman is well known for using high-tech, modern materials in the composition of its watches and the new Total Color series is no exception. The case is enameled with a thin composite ceramic film: a state-of-the-art coating that is ultra-resistant to knocks and to wear and gives the watch its sleek, shiny finish.

Complete Wearability
Locman has carefully selected complementary and completely non-allergic materials for the parts of the watch that come into contact with skin. The caseback is made from titanium (frequently used for medical purposes due to its complete biocompatibility) and a breathable rubber strap.

If you’re familiar with the brand then you will know that is indicative of Locman’s approach to watch making. Products not only need to look good, they also need to wear well so that they are of benefit, not hindrance, to their user.

Variations On The Theme
The new Total Color watches come in two main variations: an intense black for the Total Black version and shimmering midnight blue for Total Blue (pictured below).

Stealth Total Black
The Total Black model comes with with a black case and dials are available in three variations:

  • With a midnight blue finish; or
  • With white hour-markers and double orange hour-marker at 12 o’clock matching the tip of the hands; or
  • Or the third (and my personal favourite) varation, powered by a GMT Dual Time movement and with numerals and hour-markers alternating between shades of white or red (pictured above).

The Total Blue model comes with a blue case and dial, white hour-markers and a double yellow hour-marker at 12 o’clock matching the tip of the hands (pictured above).

The Final Word
I’ve always been a fan of Locman watches as they are of good quality, look good and are affordable. This new series is no different and the Total Black would make for a great every day watch.

  1. How much will something like this set you back?

  2. Tom Mulraney says:

Hi Ramsay, given the relatively new release of this range there is no immediate pricing information available but if I had to guess I would suggest somewhere between US$500 – $US1000 based on the materials used in the watch.

  3. I have to confess I’m not a fan of this style of watch. It looks a lot like a Lorus or a watch I would wear as a kid, I don’t really know why it would be worth that price. Are you a fan?

  4. Tom Mulraney says:

To be honest I am semi-partial to the all-black model, however, this would definitely be a watch for the collection and not something I would wear everyday. From my point of view if you cannot afford a myriad of luxury watches then at least something like this which is more affordable will give you the opportunity to break up your rotation a bit.

Locman do make a lot of other cool watches though and their website is definitely worth a look.

I like this watch although in my opinion the second version with the yellow colour looks much better that the first. The only downside is that the strap has that cheap plastic look. Does it come with any other strap options?

  6. Michael says:

I don’t like this watch. In my opinion it looks like a watch made for kids. The materials used seem a bit cheap and the dial is a bit plain. I’d prefer something stainless steel perhaps with Roman Numerals. But each to their own I guess.

  7. PaneraiPete says:

I saw a few Locman watches when I went travelling to Italy last year, they are pretty well known over there I think. I must say I prefer the first version, I just reckon the colors work better together.

  8. StyleKing says:

This has got to be one of the ugliest watches I have seen in a long time. Design is rubbish, reminds me of a kid’s toy watch. Sorry.
