SalonQP 2012 – The Countdown Begins!

It’s arguably the most highly anticipated event on the British horological calendar (yes, we have one of those) and it’s almost upon us. That’s right, in just over a month SalonQP 2012 is set to open its doors at London’s exclusive Saatchi Gallery, welcoming media and watch fans alike to an exclusive showcase of some of the world’s best-known brands.
A Watch Fair With A Difference
Unlike other watch fairs, which are designed more specifically for media professionals and retail buyers, SalonQP gives a watch fans a chance to not only get up close and personal with some of their favorite brands but also with the masters behind them. Want to have a chat with Peter Speake-Marin about his newly released Classic HMS? No problem, just track down his exhibit and introduce yourself.
Of course at the opposite end of the spectrum the big names will also be in attendance, giving you the opportunity to get up close and personal with the latest releases from brands like Vacheron Constantin, Jaeger-LeCoultre, Corum, Zenith as well as a whole host more.
This year will also see a special focus on the resurgence in British watchmaking, timed perfectly to coincide with the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee. Led by SalonQP veterans, the Bremont brothers Giles and Nick English, the English roster includes Speake-Marin, Thomas Mercer, Graham London, Robert Loomes & Co., Schofield – who launched at SalonQP 2011 – and Meridian, who will launch at SalonQP 2012.
In the coming weeks we will cover some of the brands exhibiting in a bit more detail, and perhaps even give you some exclusive insights as to what can you expect from this top-rate event. In total there will be over 40 brands exhibiting, please click here for a full list, and tickets are available for sale now – click here to order yours.
We’ll be reporting live from SalonQP this year and so we hope to see you all there!
