Hole-in-the-wall thieves escape with watches worth £2m
About 200 luxury watches worth an estimated 300 million yen (£2m) were stolen in an audacious raid on a jewellery shop in Tokyo’s upmarket Ginza district at the height of the new year sales.
Police investigators discovered a 40-50cm (16-20in) hole in one of the store’s walls through which the watches are believed to have been removed.
