The Dream Factory – Basel World 2010

Christophe Claret

For the first time ever, master watchmaker’s URWERK, MB&F, Speake -Marin and Christophe Claret will be presenting their unique creations together as ‘The Dream Factory’ at the Palace (opposite the Ramada Hotel) at Baselworld this year.

All four Ateliers are world-renowned for their exceptional skills and creativity in the field of watch making and either in co-operation or indiviually, have produced some of the most mind-blowing pieces seen in recent years, further blurring the lines between what is believed to be physically possible and what is considered to be mere fantasy. As such, the title ‘The Dream Factory’ is quite fitting for this exhibition as these watchmakers produce pieces that quite simply put, others can only dream of.

If you are lucky enough to attend Baselworld this year this is not an exhibit to be missed! The heads of all four brands are well-known for their approachable and friendly natures and I can assure you that they will be more than happy to show you their exceptional creations and regale you with tales of the seemingly insurmountable challenges they faced.

Just make sure you make an appointment first!!
