Wow Watch Wednesday: Ateliers deMonaco Quantieme Perpetual – QP-EZ
In a recent article for World Tempus, highly respected international watch writer Beth Doerr (read our interview with her here) suggested that the tourbillon’s time in the spotlight may have come to an end and consequently the focus must shift to the further enhancement of other complications, such as the Perpetual Calendar. We couldn’t agree more and it seems we’re not the only ones, as evidenced by the new Quantieme Perpetual – QP-EZ from Ateliers deMonaco which will be on show at this year’s Basel World.

SIHH 2011: Montblanc

IWC tends to refresh one part of its range each year, this year the focus is on the Portofino. As part of their homage to the Italian town they have designed their stand in the Italianate manner and it looks great. Plus there’s gelato! The presentations are perhaps a little self indulgent and syrupy but also very entertaining and engaging, they have a smooth elegance which is of course is the trait they want you to ascribe to their watches.
